From 1938 - TodayDuring this unit students will explore the History of Mass communications. They will discover dates and important invents that have shaped communication as we no it today and predict what communication tools their children may use. Students will debate the question: Could people be influenced today my media to the point of mass panic as they were in 1938? In 1938 'War of the World' a broadcast performed as Halloween radio episode caused mass panic as people believed the radio that reported the world was being overrun by aliens.
Welcome Back!I hope you're rested and ready to begin a new semester in Communications class. We will begin this week by getting to know each other.
